TED JONES

Ted was born in the mitten state. Growing up his ideal job was to be an Architect. He attended an architectural trade school mixed into his high school curriculum. Throughout the college search, Ted was recruited to play NCAA lacrosse at Benedictine University. Upon Accepting the offer to play for BenU, Ted quickly found out they did not offer Architecture, but his creative mind strived for both the creativity as well as the blueprint structure of the design. Graphic Design turned out to be the perfect fit for creativity and structure.

Upon the epiphany of not becoming a professional lacrosse player, Ted decided to find a college that truly had a well-known design Program. Western Michigan University was just that, only two hours away from his hometown, and at the time had the fourth strongest design program in the nation. WMU has such a prestigious design program for B.F.A. Graphic Designers. In 2014 there were seventy-five applicants only twenty were chosen, Ted becoming one of the twenty. The next four years were spent grinding away with the selected twenty. Every senior class visits NYC upon graduation. To visit some of the top firms in the world, firms with past WMU graduates. Ted had two firms that truly caught his eye but at the end of the day the city life is not where he belongs.

Ted graduated from the western Michigan program and quickly began working in the world of design. Completing his senior year with a thesis that would become his entry into the Outdoors Industry, working for KUIU, and fully bringing his thesis to life. Ted followed his path as a professional graphic designer to only be welcomed in a few years to his dream role of becoming a Creative Director in the Outdoor Space.
